Thanks to the amazingly talented Thomas Mears, the Drea Macdonald Band has done some new recordings! On November 8th the whole band trekked out to Jon's house in the country to record five songs. Starting a bit later than planned in the afternoon, the five songs got done in record time and with wonderful results. The rough mix sounds great, and plans are in the works to have it mixed, mastered, and available for download. It's possible we'll manufacture a short run of CDs as well . . . but we'll have to wait and see about that.We also had a photo shoot in the woods outside of our makeshift recording studio. Wonderful Charlottetown photographer Becka Viau ( www.beckaviau.com) drove out to meet us and took some amazing photos in the twilight of the day. She then accompanied us inside to take a few action shots.
