It's true, all tracking for the Drea Macdonald Band's latest e.p. (tentatively titled "Let's Get Lost") was finished up yesterday, and all we need now is a slight mixing and mastering. While I hoped to have the songs completed by Christmas, I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm aiming at mid-January.
In other news, I've started up a new project with local singer/songwriter Ted Simmons. We're calling ourselves Red River, and so far we're a string band . . . we got many guitars, bass, fiddle, banjo, and voices. We threw together a short set for an opening gig tomorrow night at The Abibi Lounge, helping to fill the night for Ted's other band, Slung, with our friend Nick Teter solo starting off the night. I think it's going to be a little loose, but totally fun.
Still waiting on The Cashmere Disciples full-length CD to be finished mixing . . .
