New line-up

Last week, on April 1st, the new Drea Macdonald Band returned to live performance with a show at Baba's Lounge in Charlottetown. The new line-up is . . . Drea (me) on lead vox and bass, Thomas Mears on lead guitar (as always), Joel Walker on drums (still) and new guy Matt Amond on guitar and backup vox. It was a great show, supported greatly by superstar Dennis Ellsworth, who played a solo set to start off the night.

Unfortunatly, the show was the last in a string of live shows and practices that Drea (me) had been plugging through while battling a bad cold, and during this show she (me) strained her voice so much that the next gig needed to be cancelled.

So, tonight the Drea Macdonald band is not playing, and Red River is playing without Drea (me). Right now, RR is running through their setlist in Lyon's House, in preparation for the gig. Sounding pretty good.

Next gig (unless something else comes up) is May 7th at The Alibi Lounge with Violet White and Matt Amond.
